Working principle

The PhotoTek 6000 total manganese water quality online automatic monitoring instrument adopts the formaldehyde oxime photometric method. In an alkaline solution with a pH of 9.0-10.0, manganese (II) is dissolved and oxidized to manganese (IV), which forms a brown complex with formaldehyde oxime. The mass concentration of manganese is linearly related to the absorbance. The measurement results are consistent with the national standard "Determination of Manganese in Water Quality - Formaldehyde Oxime spectrophotometric method" (HJ/T 344-2007), ensuring the accuracy and effectiveness of the monitoring data.
